Mary-Katherine Arias

Meet Mary-Katherine!

Mary-Katherine Arias is our leading author for our publishing house. She is an American author of children's books. She is best known for the creation of the Stella picture book series. She lives in Lubbock, Texas with her two sons, two dogs, and one husband.

Mary-Katherine is originally from Abilene, Tx, but moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University. She received a bachelors degree in Elementary Education as well as a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Language Literacy. She began her journey as an elementary educator in 2012. Currently, she works as an elementary librarian.

As an elementary school librarian, Mary-Katherine has always had a passion for children's literature. Despite struggling with dyslexia, she never let her learning differences hold her back. She worked hard to overcome her challenges.

In her role as an elementary librarian, Mary-Katherine has had the opportunity to share her love of reading with countless young students. She has always had a knack for finding the perfect book for each child, and her book recommendations are highly sought after by teachers and parents alike.

But Mary-Katherine's love of literature doesn't stop at the library doors. She has always dreamed of writing and publishing her own children's books, and she recently made that dream a reality. Her first book, "Stella: A Library Dog's Tale," is a heartwarming tale about a therapy dog, Stella, who joins her every day in the library.

Mary-Katherine's dyslexia adds a unique perspective to her writing, and she hopes that her books will inspire and empower young readers who may also struggle with learning differences. When she's not busy at the library or working on her next book, Mary-Katherine can be found chasing around her two young boys or cuddled up with a good book and a cup of tea.
